Phil Atkinson, Managing Director, OHSAS 18001 Lead Auditor, NEBOSH qualified Fire Risk Assessor and specialist in event management / spectator safety.
OSHCR Registered Consultant
Phil has been a leading health & safety professional for over 20 years and has gathered a wealth of experience across a range of industries. With a background in fire safety, event management and general health & safety he has a proven track record of identifying a client's issues and assisting them to implement practical solutions. As a keen sportsman Phil loves the great outdoors, and when he is not helping clients he can be found walking in the Yorkshire Dales or working on improving his golf handicap.

Mark Wheeldon, Director - B.Sc. (Hons), Dip SHEM, CMIOSH, FIMI - specialist in the development of Environmental, Health & Safety franchise standards.
OSHCR Registered Consultant
Having worked in the field of Safety, Health & Environmental Compliance for over 15 years, Mark has been involved in the development of both national and international standards with regards to Compliance within the workplace for some of the world's largest commercial entities. Mark's philosophy has always been "keep it as simple as possible" and he has spent much of his career helping companies understand their legal obligations and developing simple, efficient and pragmatic solutions.
Mark has worked with the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) to develop Sector specific accredited training courses and has been asked by IOSH to speak on their behalf during seminars. Away from work Mark is an avid rugby fan.

Chris Woodford, Director
Chris is an events health and safety specialist with considerable experience in providing safety advice on the technical and project management side of production and site management in a wide range of work and entertainment environments.
Chris was formerly a senior Non-Commissioned Officer in HM Armed Forces and the UK Police Service. Before specialising in Health & Safety, his previous ability as a Crowd Safety Manager and Live music and broadcast production specialist, combined with his event related safety experience enables him to take a wide-ranging approach to event safety and event project management.

John Crouchley, Health & Safety Consultant
Registered OSHCR Consultant
John is a Health and Safety Consultant with many years of experience gained in a range of sectors including Quarrying, Construction, Petrol Forecourts and Automotive Retail. He successfully ran his own Consultancy business for a period of seven years, during which time his company was short listed for an APEA award
As a former PASMA Approved equipment instructor for mobile access towers and low level access he has spent many days training people in working at heights safety and his company was also approved to deliver the Safety Pass Alliance (SPA) training for Petrol Retail.

Matt Reeves, Health & Safety Consultant
Matt is a specialist consultant in health and safety management system development with considerable experience in providing safety advice to a wide range of industries. In addition to consultancy Matt teaches health and safety courses and also acts as a safety officer for events.
With a comprehensive knowledge of health and safety Law and a wide range of experience assisting companies from various industries, Matt is able to act in a consultancy role to assist any business in producing a Health and Safety Management system which is right for them. Also an experienced tutor with a successful track record in delivering various Health & Safety courses which include the IOSH MS/WS, NEBOSH General Certificate and also bespoke one day courses on Health & Safety responsibilities, Matt can provide your company with the right training and gain the results required

Rachel Smith, Health & Safety Consultant
Rachel has worked as a manager and advisor in the field of health, safety, wellbeing and environmental management, in both the public and private sectors. While promoting a positive health and safety culture, Rachel has had roles which required developing and maintaining safety management systems, managing occupational health services, providing advice at all levels, and implementing the environmental standard ISO 14001.
Most recently, Rachel has worked within the automotive industry in the UK and Europe, in a variety of work environments including production facilities, Dealer workshop and bodyshop's, and warehouse facilities, to ensure health and safety standards for the UK, country specific and company specific are achieved and exceeded.

Mahesh Ruparelia, Health and Safety Consultant
Mahesh is a qualified health and safety practitioner with a broad and varied background in Enforcement and knowledge of health and safety legislation. He has extensive experience in inspecting, auditing and providing safety advise for venues, events, stunts, extreme sports, expeditions, etc.
Mahesh also has knowledge of and experience in investigating large and small accidents and complaints from members of the public and employees. Mahesh has over 15 years' experience in the events industry as a qualified Health and Safety Professional, and has gained a vast amount of experience from working with event organisers, contractors, public authorities, police and venues.
Mahesh has a comprehensive knowledge of health and safety, technical processes, production crowd profiles, stunt sequences and expedition issues. This enables him to rapidly analyse and understand unfamiliar and complex work, event and public space environments and develop practical and pragmatic solutions to problems identified.

Eleanor Western, Health & Safety Consultant
Eleanor has a varied background having worked in the leisure sector on a variety of small and large scale events and in both public and private sectors as a planning consultant and officer.
Eleanor's responsibilities include writing risk assessments, event safety plans, assisting clients with site design and layout, liaising with key agencies and local authorities, attending safety advisory group exercises and table top exercises. Due to her background in planning Eleanor also prepares & submits planning applications and licensing applications and has experience in achieving other permits such as temporary structures notices and similar.
Eleanor has worked for ACT since 2016 managing a range of clients within the leisure events sector. Eleanor qualified as a Town Planner in 2008 and in 2010 diversified into health and safety combining the skills acquired from being a Planning Officer to become an Event Safety Consultant.

Andy Copley, Fire Safety Consultant
Andy specialises as a Fire Safety Consultant with over 33 years of experience in Fire Safety enforcement, inspections and Risk Assessment, currently involved providing fire safety management mainly to the automotive industry. Following a 30-year career in the Fire Service Andy studied Event Safety Management at the University of Derby and is currently Safety Officer at some of the largest sporting venues in the north of England.
The last 15 years of Andy's 30 year Fire Service career were spent as a Watch Manager with command and control responsibilities as Incident Commander at many varied operational incidents from large fires to serious road traffic collisions. He also became involved in fire safety inspections ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations at a variety of premises from hotels and shops to heritage sites.

Jim Lennox, Health & Safety Consultant

Jim has been in health and safety for over 33 years working in a variety of industries ranging. He has vast experience in the preparation of relevant documents such as policies, procedures and risk assessments. Jim is also an experienced trainer in a variety of health and safety related subjects, most accredited via NEBOSH & IOSH.
Working both within and outside of the U.K, Jim is extremely adapt at creating and auditing standards on behalf of our clients.
