The Driving Licence check covers authentication of driver data with the DVLA drivers database including details of any endorsements, categories of vehicles entitled to drive, address verification and verification of Driving Licence number.

The checks also safeguard against drivers who may have applied for a duplicate licence to enable them to provide a "clean" licence thus avoiding employers seeing details of points or disqualification.
