Mark Harper (Health & Safety Minister) has called for companies to bring to an end the creation and enforcement of ridiculous Health & Safety rules in the workplace. Following on from the creation of the Health & Safety Executives' Myth Buster Panel, Mr Harper has called for all Business owners who create such silly rules to remove them, as they have no basis in law or associated best practice.

Mark Wheeldon commented ‘it is good to see such a proactive approach being taken by the Minister with regards to this. Too often Health & Safety is shrouded in myth and silliness. Health & Safety is about looking after people, not constantly placing signs everywhere and creating forms for the sake of having forms.'
