Currently there is no
legal maximum indoor working temperature. Guidance from the Health and Safety
Executive states that workplace temperatures inside buildings should be
"reasonable" but this is open to interpretation. This has resulted in a call
from MPs for a maximum working workplace temperature of 30C (86F) and 27C (81F)
for people doing strenuous work. The TUC has also called for the same maximum
legal temperatures.
